During my 25th year in ministry, I asked the Lord how could I best celebrate and honor Him in keeping with Mark 16:15 to, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” The Holy Spirit gave me a list of seven things to do which I wrote down, and over the next few weeks they were all realized as I checked them off one by one. On that list one of the things was to begin a media ministry; and another was to go minister in a place beyond my imagination. Those two things were instrumental in the start of Glory Light Ministry. Initially I asked the Lord what type of media ministry and then I received a call from the General Manager of W18BB-TV in Elizabeth City, NC from ECSU and Time Warner Cable, to host a ministry slot for their Sunday morning (and Wednesday evening) Gospel Program. I accepted and “Glory Light Ministry” was born.
Around that same time, I was contacted by President Bob Reichard, from my alma mater, Evangel Theological Seminary. He shared his vision of taking an intensive study program to Kenya to instruct and minister to an interdenominational group of pastors and leaders. I became a member of the team (and the only woman). We taught during the week and were sent out in pairs to preach (alternating services all day on Sundays). That was an exciting introduction to life in the Bush-Bush of Simba Hills, Kenya, and it opened doors that lead to my return for several years under the banner of Glory Light Ministry, to approximately 20 churches.
Glory Light, experienced an amazing opportunity to enter homes and communities. One blessed outcome was the construction of a community greenhouse garden for a congregation in Marikani, Kenya. That was also the beginning of our outreach and international ministry.
Over the years we have been blessed to go into all the world to minister the gospel through television broadcasts, and in person in several countries including
Limpopo,SA; Johannesburg, SA, Shannon, Ireland; Mexico (per GLM Cruise); Kenya; and St. Lucia.
Additional ministry has been birthed thru GLM including:
- Walk Thru the Word: A morning devotion and prayer time which aims to cover at least one book in every Old and New Testament section of the Bible each year (ie – Law, history, poetry, major and minor prophets, the gospel, epistles , and general letters.) A team of ministers and intercessors lead the devotions for men and women, every Monday through Friday at 6 am .
- Glory Light for Men: A men’s devotional and discussion lead by Bro. Warren Rolle, every Monday and Friday morning at 5 am.
- Community Bible Study: Held each Wednesday via conference call; and then on the last Wednesday of the month we often do an in-person Bible Study & Pot-Luck fellowship.
- NOW Christian Network: Glory Light Ministry, broadcasting Mondays at 2am EST beginning 7/27/26
- Couples Ministry: Features special events, and a Married Couples Retreat in the fall.
- Special retreats, and/or events are scheduled as the Spirit leads.
